This project is located in Silian Village, Long'an County. The daily water consumption of residents in Silian Village and surrounding villages is approximately 300 tons. The main water source is a river flowing through the area. During the flood season, the turbidity of the river water is very high, reaching over 20 degrees, or even higher. The water contains a large amount of sediment. Before the installation of the water purification equipment, the river water was directly supplied to surrounding residents through pipelines via water towers without any treatment, which was very harmful to the health of the local villagers.

Due to the high sediment content in the river water, we specially designed the treatment process for this project.

First, to prevent river water containing large amounts of sediment from directly entering the mechanical filtration equipment, a bag filter is used as the front-end pretreatment.

Second, after the river water passes through the bag filter, larger particulate matter in the water will be intercepted and retained in the bag filter. Only fine particles will enter the mechanical filtration equipment. This prevents unnecessary clogging of the mechanical filtration equipment and extends the service life of the filter media.

Third, the project site is located in a mountainous area. After the equipment installation is completed, it will be unattended. Therefore, we adopted intelligent multi-port valves, equipping the mechanical filtration equipment with them. This allows for automatic backwashing and forward flushing of the mechanical filtration tanks of the water purification equipment, as well as automatic start and stop protection, all without the need for on-site personnel.

Fourth, the river water contains a large number of bacteria and viruses. After being treated by the water purification equipment, the water is disinfected using a chlorine dioxide dosing system to make the water supply safer and more reliable.
