Longtou Township, Yizhou District, Hechi City, is located in the southwestern part of Guangxi, situated in a karst mountainous area. The water sources suitable for drinking water for urban and rural residents are very limited, requiring multiple mountain springs and streams to be collected in one place to ensure an adequate water supply. However, because multiple water sources are difficult to manage, water often needs to be delivered two or even three times before it can be gathered. This project is located in Silian Village, Long'an County. The daily water consumption of residents in Silian Village and surrounding villages is approximately 300 tons. The main water source is a river flowing through the area. During the flood season, the turbidity of the river water is very high, reaching over 20 degrees, or even higher. The water contains a large amount of sediment. Before the installation of the water purification equipment, the river water was directly supplied to surrounding residents through pipelines via water towers without any treatment, which was very harmful to the health of the local villagers.

The Guilin Transportation College project was completed in October 2018. The system's raw water source is underground well water.
